LEND A HELPING HAND
Please note: The Duke Children’s Office of Development does not manage volunteer opportunities within the hospital. If you are interested in learning more about hospital volunteer opportunities managed by Duke Health, please click here.
Do you love to greet people at special events? Can you stuff envelopes and packets like no one else? The Duke Children’s Office of Development has volunteer opportunities throughout the year to fit everyone’s interests and availability! Each month we rely on volunteers to lend a hand to a variety of projects – both in front of a crowd and behind the scenes.
With the help of dedicated volunteers our events and campaigns are more successful, ultimately raising more money for Duke Children’s and our effort to continually enhance our clinical care, education, research, and advocacy.
Volunteers help with things like:
- Assisting at fundraising events
- Sorting donated toys
- Writing thank you cards
- Helping prepare event and campaign materials
- Visiting fundraising partners in the community to say thank you
Most of our volunteer opportunities are 2- to 6-hour commitments on single days, require no advanced training, and are open to those 18 years and older.
Our volunteers have fun while making a difference for Duke Children’s!
